FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I know if your firm is the right fit for my legal needs?

A: We start by listening to your goals and concerns. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll tell you—honesty is part of how we work. If we are, you’ll get a team that brings experience, clarity, and a tailored approach to your matter.

Q: How do I make sure my contract protects my interests in a business deal?

A: The best protection comes from clarity, not just legal language. We ensure your agreements reflect your goals, cover risks, and are structured to support a successful relationship. Our role is to guide negotiations, flag key issues, and give you peace of mind before you sign.

Q: Do I really need an estate plan if I’m not wealthy?

A: Estate planning isn’t just for the wealthy—it’s about ensuring your wishes are followed and your loved ones are protected. We tailor plans to your needs, from simple wills to complex trusts. It’s about peace of mind, not just dollar amounts.

Q: What should I do if I receive a notice of audit from the IRS?

A: Don’t panic, and don’t ignore it. The key is to respond promptly and with professional guidance. Our team includes attorneys and CPAs who help you understand what’s being reviewed and how to respond effectively to protect your rights.

Q: How long does probate take and what’s involved?

A: Probate can take several months to over a year, depending on the estate’s complexity and local court timelines. Our team helps ensure timely filings, handles communication with the court and heirs, and avoids common pitfalls that delay the process. We make a difficult time easier by managing the details.

Q: What legal risks should I watch for when buying commercial property?

A: Title issues, zoning restrictions, environmental concerns, and unclear lease terms can all derail an investment. We perform due diligence to uncover and resolve risks before closing. Our job is to protect your interests so your deal moves forward smoothly.
